Among many other aspects, the whole spectrum of culture includes the
beauty of music, art and literature of the past and the present which are
deeply embedded in the multi-faceted and vibrant diversity of culture-,
country- and region-specific backgrounds and are a part of each cultural
identity.
To preserve the respective specific cultural identity it primarily
requires nothing else than excepting with open minds and open hearts that
all cultural activity in our world is something that binds us instead of
tearing us apart and that culture is a bridge between the people of our
world, beyond language and uniting us in all diversity.
A basic prerequisite for bringing people closer is respect, understanding
and appreciation and these ethical values especially rank first when it
comes to intercultural issues and encounters. Ignorance or a lack of
knowledge can be bridged by openness of mind towards people with a
different cultural background than our own and learning more about other
cultural and religious traditions, celebrations and holidays broadens not
only our horizon but also leads to better mutual understanding, respect
and appreciation.

philosophy and technique. ƒ8
Pasadena is dedicated to the aesthetics and art of photography—merging
photographic philosophy with visual imaging. Founded in 2007 by Bill
Wishner , ƒ8 Pasadena members include
three
physicians, an architect, a retired labor organizer, a retired
manufacturer, a filmmaker, a scientist, and a ceramics artist.
